FRANKIE Goes To School

The program FRANKIE started in 2021 after the Covid19 Pandemic and it is running for the third year in a row now. This program aims at becoming self-sustainable, whereby carefully identified indigent families participate with a nominal fee of R30 in order to receive a new pair of school shoes or a good quality previously loved pair. FRANCO believes in empowering people and wishes to reinstate a sense of dignity eliminating the culture of hand-outs wherever possible.

Our Objectives

1.    To implement a regular yearly program in aid of the many families who are struggling with basic needs.

2.    To help keep our learners in the classroom and minimize dropouts and absenteeism.

3.    To instate a sense of dignity and pride in our participating members without relying on handouts.

4.    To teach care and respect for one’s belongings and never give for granted what we receive.
